These terms are an agreement between you and Jay Nichols, the developer of Northfix ("we", "us"). They cover the Northfix apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Android, Northfix Pro, Northfix Team and this website. By using Northfix you agree to them. If you use Northfix for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you’re allowed to.
Using the app
- Your data is yours. You bring your own data into Northfix, like your LinkedIn export, contacts, calendar and notes. You’re responsible for having the right to use it, and for following the terms of the services it comes from.
- Use it lawfully. Don’t use Northfix to harass anyone, to send spam, to break privacy or anti-discrimination laws, or to build lists for resale.
- Don’t abuse the service. Don’t try to break into the team server, overload it, reverse engineer it to get around its limits, or access a team you weren’t invited to.
- Suggestions are suggestions. Northfix estimates things like closeness, seniority, agency, location and who’s likely to move. They can be wrong. Check before you rely on them.
Northfix Pro
Northfix Pro is sold through the App Store and Google Play, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple’s standard license agreement or Google Play’s terms also apply to those purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play settings. Lifetime Pro doesn’t expire and isn’t converted into a subscription later.
Northfix Team
- Owners and admins. The person who starts a team is its owner and is responsible for who they invite. Owners and admins can invite and remove members. Only the owner can manage billing, hand over ownership or delete the team.
- What members share. Each member shares the names, titles, employers, LinkedIn links and closeness of the people in their network, plus their pursuits and watchlist. Members must only share what they’re allowed to share with their team.
- Encryption and keys. Team data is encrypted on members' devices with a key that only exists in invite links and on members' devices. We don’t have the key and can’t recover it. If every member loses it, the team’s data can’t be read by anyone, including us.
- Trial. A new team gets 30 days free for up to 5 people. When the trial ends without a subscription, the team becomes read-only until someone subscribes. Nothing is deleted.
- Subscription. Team subscriptions are billed yearly in advance, per seat, through Stripe. Seats added during the year are charged for the rest of the year. Subscriptions renew each year until the owner cancels from Team in the app or the billing page. Prices can change at renewal with at least 30 days' notice.
- Leaving and deleting. Members can leave at any time, which deletes their share from the team server. Deleting a team deletes everything about it. If a subscription ends, the team becomes read-only, and we may delete a team that has been read-only for more than 12 months after telling the owner.
Refunds
App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded by Apple and Google under their own policies. For team subscriptions: if you cancel within 30 days of a first yearly payment, email [email protected] and we’ll refund it in full. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal, and the team stays active until the end of the paid year.
Other services
Northfix can connect to services you choose, like iCloud, Outlook, Gmail, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Seamless.AI and Google News. Those services are run by others under their own terms. We’re not responsible for them, and they may change or stop working with Northfix.
Disclaimers
Northfix is provided as is. We work hard to make it reliable, but we don’t promise it will be error-free or always available, or that its estimates are accurate. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about Northfix is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Northfix at any time. We may suspend or end access to the team server for anyone who breaks these terms, after telling the team owner when we can.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in Guilford County, North Carolina.

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and we’ll tell team owners about material changes in advance. Questions: [email protected].
